Dear DoubleC, I often wake up and think I'm a pole. Not a guy from Poland, but an actual pole. It's very stressful and keeps me up most nights. What can I do? Sincerely, Perpetually Confused.

Next: I've been downloading a ton of music recently, but the majority of it has been stuff from the 60s and 70s. I've been trying to find some newer bands to start listening to. I downloaded stuff by Wavves but I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet. I've heard "Melt with You" by Modern English, as I'm sure most people have, but I've never listened to "After the Snow". Did you get any other interesting 45's for your birthday besides the Modern English one? I've only ever listened to "Myths of the Near Future" by the Klaxons. I enjoyed it, but other than that, I'm not familiar with their work. I'm terrible when it comes to keeping up with new releases. I have listened to Ratatat before, but I have to be in a mood for them. I think that goes for all electronic type music. When I am in the mood, though, Ratatat is fantastic. Beirut is GREAT. They've got such a great sound. The Flying Club Cup is SUCH a great album. I can listen to it over and over. I would love to get my hands on a vinyl copy of it. The Roots! Yes! They are so fantastic. ugh. How I Got Over is GREAT. I LOVE the way they incorporate all sorts of different sounds. Everything from jazz to gospel. It's so good. Definitely a great choice! i apologize for the long response.

Well, P.C. Can I call you P.C.? I think that your sleeping habits are not right at all. I myself had the same exact dream you are talking about except I was in Poland and I was also a pole! Very strange. But It was because I moved my room around. I changed my bedspread, bought a new stereo and cut my wrists open and smeared the walls with blood. That was one crazy party. Anyway, I highly recommend you take a look around your room. What things are off? Askew? Odd? Also I think you should go to a diner. Order mashed potatoes and French fries. Then proceed to dip the French fry into the mashed potatoes. What does this accomplish? Nothing, AT FIRST. But then realize that you’ve just done this amazing feat. Combining two celebrated American dishes into one. Then eat it. Eat a lot of it. All of it. In fact, order seconds. Thirds. FOURTHS.  And god strike me down if I’m wrong, but you will sleep like a baby for the rest of your life. Or travel through time. Whichever.
