Good one! I’ve been listening to Klaxon’s latest album, which is getting better with repeated listens. I got a lot of old 45’s from my uncle for my birthday. I just listened to a single by this New Wave/Post-Punk/Experimental band Modern English. I listened to the A side: “Melt with You” and the B side: “After the Snow”. Im really obsessed with the B-Side and I highly recommend that one. I need to get the full album. I’m also listening to a lot of Ratatat, which is an electronic duo from New York. I downloaded a couple of remixes they did which were just as good as the originals. Haven’t gone into a full LP yet but I am going to Newbury tomorrow, hopefully I’ll find something by them there. I also finally, started listening to The Flying Club Cup, Beirut’s sophomore LP. It is Zach Condon’s French inspired where Gulag Orkestar was Russian. I’m really diggin’ that one a lot. Finally, The Roots’ new LP How I Got Over has really been an unexpected delight. I’m in love with the apocalyptic lyrics, the great hooks and the guest spots. I would say that it is the best hip-hop album I’ve heard in a long time. Definitely tell me what you think about this massive answer.
