channel ORANGE is a beautiful album, to say the absolute least. Frank Ocean crafts some of the most thematically soulful and gorgeous tracks imaginable within the albums fifty-five minutes. From the greatest lovelorn song written in decades (Thinkin Bout You), the over-priveledged apathy anthem (Super Rich Kids), and a ten minute Egyptian-neon-dance-party (Pyramids). Ocean has recently been subject to much controversy and hate due to last week’s announcement. But, this album pushes all that aside and lets the music speak for itself. Oh and the Earl Sweatshirt & Andre 3000 features are, um, flawless.
